Thermorex Ultraviolet Steriliser

The THERMOREX ULTRAVIOLET STERILISER is equipped with a

“PHILIPS TUV-15 GERMICIDAL” Lamp which radiates energy in the 2537A wavelength. This wavelength is the most effective in destroying BACTERIA and MOULDS and is therefore used widely for sterilisation in hospitals, bacteriological research centres and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.

WARNING: Even short exposure to ultraviolet radiation can induce skin and eye complaints (ERYTHEMA and CONJUNCTIVITIS).

DO NOT OPERATE THE UNIT WITH THE DOOR OPEN.

The THERMOREX STERILISER body is constructed from stainless steel which, apart from being durable and easy to clean, also provides a highly reflective inner surface to increase the intensity of the lamp many times over, thus, ensuring optimum destruction of the micro-organisms.

Because ULTRAVIOLET Sterilisation is “COLD & DRY”, it is ideally suited to the effective sterilisation of plastic products, as well as surgical, medical and dental instruments. A sterilisation time of 30 minutes is usually adequate to destroy most micro-organisms. Please note that items to be sterilised must be fully exposed to the ultraviolet light and it is therefore suggested that items which have areas that cannot be thus exposed, should first be autoclaved and then stored in the UV Steriliser.

Periodically, clean the inside and outside of the unit with a damp cloth, using a mild, non abrasive detergent if necessary.
